So the conversion can be done in the field from wired to wireless with only the addition of the dongle in case of the shades being miswired or a bad wire.
There is no special sauce in the wireless. On most Homeworks QS jobs the shades are wired since the Homeworks processors have the wired link. Most deployments I have seen and installed on RA systems are wireless since the processors do not have the wired link on them to distribute. They are both the same shade drives in the tube. The only difference between the wired and the wireless is that the wireless shades have a wireless dongle added. The QS communication side of things can be accomplished either via the wired QS link or via RF link. The power supply is just a transformer with a distribution block for the QS link and power. 4th Floor, 52 Leadenhall Street, London EC3A 2EB. To take care of the customer is the first of five principles set forth by our founder and still embraced today. To clarify, most all QS shades are equal in that they need at least 2 conductors for power, excluding the battery operated small shades of course. Today we hold over 2,700 patents worldwide, including for hundreds of lighting and shading control solutions, and are the 1st choice of lighting professionals. As always any help would be greatly appreciated. What else do I need to know ? Any other tips, ideas ?. Based on my research in order to "combine " main and pool house I need to buy two ( Main? ) repeaters and plug them both to the same LAN
We do not have any lutron communication wire between main house and pool house due to a distance limitation issues, but both buildings are on the same LAN ( fiber ). (2) - there is also a pool house with Lutron shades as well. Can I ASSume that this interface will work with Control4 without any type of Lutron processor involved ? (1) - client didn't want any Lutron keypads, the goal was to eliminate unnecessary " wall acne " and control it only via Control4 keypads, so if I understand correctly the only way to accomplish it is via QSI-CI-NWK interface. We have done a few of those in the past with RTI and Grafik eye, yet never with Control4 and in " standalone mode " ( no lutron processor of any kind involved ), all shades are currently connected to multiple Smart Power Supply panels. Currently working on a project where Lutron shades integration is required.
